Guy attended Silver Lake Elementary School and South Junior High School; Guy graduated from Everett High School in 1955. He became a worker in grocery stores from age 14 at B&M Grocery Stores in Everett and Lake Stevens. Guy worked in the grocery store business while attending many trainings and conferences. He retired due to rheumatoid arthritis disabilities. Guy then worked for The Snohomish Countys school district as a mechanic and school bus driver. Guy married Dwyla Herd in 1958 that preceded him in death in 2003; they had 3 children together Brad, Brian and Brenda. Sadly, he was estranged from them at his death. In 2005 Guy was reunited with his classmate Wilda Watson at their 50 year high school reunion. Wilda became his caregiver in 2006 during his 1st round of lung cancer. Wilda had a stroke in 2013 and Guy became her caregive, until his cancer returned in 2020 and Wilda became his caregiver again. Guy died as his name implies (Died,Rich) Guy was very successful at investing in the stock market, antiques and life.
Guy had a special place in his heart6 for fishing, watching sports and communicating with special needs people. One of his many friends said he wanted to grow up to be just like him. His friend was only 60, you see. Guy’s generosity was beyond compare and his ability to give blessed many. He is extraordinarily missed!!!
