Mary Ellen Evans passed away October 17th, 2020 at Pacific Communities Hospital. She was born in Toledo, OR on the ninth of February to Archie Elmer Fawver and Alberta Grace (Boone) Fawver. Mary Ellen graduated from Toledo High School in 1958. She met and married James Leo Evans January 16th 1960 in Toledo, OR; they had 2 children, Tim Evans and Shelly Evans (Passmore). Mary Ellen lived her entire life in Toledo, OR where she married and raised her family. Mary Ellen went to work for Lincoln County School District in 1975 where she worked as a teacher’s aide and then a librarian until her retirement in 1998. Prior to that she was a homemaker and raised her children. Mary Ellen was a member of the Toledo Methodist church for many years and the Women’s church group Miriam Circle. Mary Ellen loved her family and grandkids and never missed an event in their lives; she also enjoyed traveling, camping and antiquing. Mary Ellen is survived by her brother, Edward Fawver of Siletz, OR, sister, Susan (Fawver) Grishaber of Toledo, OR, brother, Donald Fawver of Chandler, AZ, and brother, James Fawver of Toledo, OR. Her son, Tim Evans of Toledo, OR, daughter, Shelly (evans) Passmore of South Beach, OR, grandson, Ryland Passmore of Philomath, OR, and granddaughter, Allie Passmore of South Beach, OR and many nieces and nephews. Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her husband James Leo Evans, her parents Archie and Alberta Fawver and her brother Dennis Fawver. There will be a family graveside memorial service held Tuesday October 27th, 2020 at Eureka Cemetery
