‘Musician’s Living Room’ series continues March 12

The Newport Symphony Orchestra is continuing its series called “Musician’s Living Room” on Friday, March 12.

NSO Music Director Adam Flatt said these interactive, online evenings “will take you into the living rooms of NSO stars who will share their fascinating collections of instruments, perform and share their lives as musicians in Newport and beyond. You will share conversation with the musician and me as we welcome you into their homes and lives.”

The March 12 event features Martha Griffith on the topic, “The seductive sound of the harp.” Griffith is a third-generation professional harpist in Oregon and has been the NSO’s principal harpist for many years. In addition to her magnificent symphonic harp, she will demonstrate her unusual collection of other harps, sharing secrets of this most magical of instruments.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are $30 (more than one device linkage will require an additional purchase). For tickets, go to www.newportsymphony.org or call 458-868-9155.
