Ray Cannavo

Ray Cannavo, 66, of Waldport, Oregon passed away peacefully September 25, 2019 with family by his side.

He was born to Raymond Anthony and Marion (Nolan) Cannavo in Brooklyn, NY. The family moved to San Clemente, CA and he resided there until attending school at Southern Utah University on a football scholarship.

Animals of all kinds were a favorite of Ray, but his dogs Sissy and Mandy along with his many cats were especially dear to his heart. Spending time with his family and pets, traveling and watching his nephew play sports for McMinnville High School were his favorite things to do.

After moving to Oregon, Ray started his career with Copeland Lumber Yard in 1982 and retired in 2008 as a part owner/manager.

Ray is survived by his wife Shirley Paul; sister Chris (Ron) Norman; brother Danny (Zona) Cannavo; nephew Michael (Kim) Sullivan; great nephew Kevin Sullivan and great niece Amanda Sullivan. Also to be mentioned of loving importance are nephews Dane Cannavo, Collin Cannavo and Nathan Hancock; niece Avery Cannavo Black.

He was preceded in death by his mother Marion (Nolan) Cannavo of Woodburn, OR; father Raymond Anthony Cannavo of San Clemente, CA; stepfather Herb Price of Woodburn, OR.
