Ruth Jenkins

Ruth Helen Farley Jenkins, 100, of Toledo, died of natural causes September 19, 2019 in Corvallis.

She was born to parents George Earl Farley and Grace Celestial Lair Farley in 1919 in Basin, Wyoming. Ruth grew up in Oklahoma and married Gerald Wesley Jenkins on June 16, 1946 in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Toledo, Oregon and raised 3 children there. After the children were grown, Ruth worked for the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for 20 years. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Gerald in 2005. She is survived by her children: daughter Linda Brooks and son-in-law Daryl; daughter Celeste Mathews and son-in-law Thomas; son Dana Jenkins and daughter-in-law Teresa; brother Paul Farley and sister-in-law Jerrie; grandchildren Jason and Betsy Brooks, Kevin and Shaun Brooks, Katherine and Shawn Carboy, and Emilee Mathews. Ruth is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
